Atanas is a software designer and architect with over 30 years of experience, in a multitude of industries:

In previous lives, Atanas developed a full suite of business management software (accounting, invoicing, payroll etc.) that were included in the business schools curriculums in Tunisia, Africa. Later, he developed the Windows version of MoneyBox - the leading UK personal finances software. Moving to the US in 1996, Atanas worked on major software products in the manufacturing and auto lease industry.

In the 1990-ies, Atanas co-founded AutomatedQA (now renamed to smartbear.com) for developer tools, including performance profiling, test automation and project management. AutomatedQA was sold in 2007 and since then, Atanas's focus has been on the investment and financial industries

    When investing, it is often recommended to diversify your portfolio. One of the common ways to diversify is by purchasing stocks with prices that move in opposite directions (if one stock's price increases, the other would decrease). To assess the price relations between stocks, the pros use a correlation formula that can take a lot of work - download the price history of the two stocks, then in Excel (or other tool) calculate the correlations.
